The Green CPEC Alliance was formally launched in Islamabad through a high-level conference jointly organized by the Pakistan-China Institute and the Sustainable Development Policy Institute. The event convened policymakers, financial institutions, researchers, and private sector representatives from Pakistan and China to deliberate on strategies for making the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor more environmentally sustainable. Participants highlighted the need to redirect infrastructure investment toward renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, and hydropower and emphasized that the Alliance would facilitate research, policy dialogue, and stakeholder collaboration aimed at advancing a green transition under CPEC.
